Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SoloCrew, a business workflow assistant operated by SoloCrewBiz ("SoloCrew", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use SoloCrew.
1. What SoloCrew is — and is not
SoloCrew is a software product that helps you turn a project, prototype, or skill into a structured market-and-outreach plan, and to draft outreach emails you choose to send.
SoloCrew is not:
- legal, financial, tax, accounting, or investment advice;
- a regulated professional service;
- a marketing agency, sales agency, or law firm;
- a substitute for consulting a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
Use SoloCrew's outputs as suggestions and starting points for your own decisions. You are solely responsible for evaluating, editing, and acting on those outputs.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate sign-in information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@solocrewbiz.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Outreach: your responsibility
SoloCrew helps you draft and send outreach emails through your own connected Gmail account. You remain solely responsible for:
- The recipients you choose to add. You must have a lawful basis to email them in your jurisdiction.
- The content of every email you approve. SoloCrew prepares drafts as a starting point; you review and edit them before approval.
- Compliance with applicable anti-spam, marketing, privacy, and consumer-protection laws — including, where applicable, the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's CASL, the EU/UK GDPR and PECR, and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and Unsolicited Electronic Messages Ordinance.
- Honoring opt-out requests from your recipients promptly.
- The accuracy and lawfulness of any claims you make in outreach emails (including pricing, availability, qualifications, and professional credentials).
- Your own use of any third-party platforms (such as Gmail itself, where you must comply with Gmail's Program Policies and your Workspace administrator's policies if applicable).
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to use SoloCrew to:
- Send spam, phishing emails, deceptive content, or any unsolicited bulk email that violates applicable law.
- Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your identity in outreach.
- Send content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Attempt to bypass SoloCrew's per-message approval flow, send-cap, or audit log.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the SoloCrew app or its underlying providers.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Gmail integration
Connecting Gmail is optional. If you connect Gmail, the integration is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes the gmail.send-only scope, the absence of inbox read or Gmail scanning, and the per-message approval requirement before any send. You can disconnect Gmail at any time from inside the app.
6. SoloCrew's role with respect to your data
SoloCrew acts as a service provider that processes your project content, outreach drafts, and connected Gmail tokens to deliver the functionality you choose to use. SoloCrew does not access your Gmail inbox, does not scan Gmail messages, and does not send emails on your behalf without explicit, per-message approval. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Service availability
SoloCrew is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We try to keep the app available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or specific business outcomes from following SoloCrew's suggestions.
8. No warranties beyond the law
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SoloCrew disclaims all warranties not expressly stated here, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Outputs from SoloCrew, including proposals, market summaries, and email drafts, are working drafts — not professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SoloCrew and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising out of your use of the service. SoloCrew's aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the fees you paid SoloCrew in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold SoloCrew harmless from claims and liabilities arising out of your use of SoloCrew, including claims related to outreach emails you sent, recipients you targeted, or content you wrote, edited, or approved.
11. Termination
You may stop using SoloCrew at any time and request deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe pose risk to other users, recipients, or our service providers.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be announced inside the app or by email before they take effect.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Hong Kong unless applicable law requires otherwise.
